Lists And Getting Things Done

Lists are a big part of my life, I make a list for everything I do.

There is something about starting a list then marking things off to make you feel like you are getting some where.

If I have a big project sometimes I will have several pages of lists.

Once in a while I will do something not on the list that relates to the list, so even after I am finished I will write it on the list then mark it off.

One of my weak points is going back over my list and updating it.  I should do this every day, but sometimes a week will go by and I am still working off the same list with 200 items on it and another 100 marked out.

When you look back over your list you can really see how you are spending your time, and you can find out if you are spending your time doing the most important things.

If I am lazy and my list gets too big and I start feeling overwhelmed then I get out a clean piece of paper and I start a new list and I only put on the new list things that I am sure I can get done in a day.

When I am blogging I make lists of things I can write about late when I have more time.
