Buying A Website On Ebay? Read This First - Part 1

If your thinking about buying a website on Ebay there are a couple things you need to know.

I have been looking at some of the sites for sale on Ebay to possibly:

• Invest some money in a website


• Create some sites myself to sell

The main problem is that there are so many sites with outrageous claims if you are honest you just don’t have a chance.

So I decided to just share with you some of the things I found.

The first site I was interested in advertised that it is ranked number one in Google, Yahoo, and MSN.  For a major keyword that will bring you millions of visitors.

Then they have 3 links and sure enough they are ranked #1 on all 3 search engines.  

At first this looks very impressive and their site got bid up way more than it was worth.  I feel sorry for the person who ended up buying the site.

Here is what the seller did… They picked a domain name that had a lot of listings in the search engines then put up links that searched on the full domain name. If you search on your full domain name you will always be listed #1.

Hey look this site is listed #1 on Google.

I have to go now, I am going to go list this site on Ebay for $30,000.00
