LinkMachine New Links Problem

I have the option to show new links on the main page.

At first this seemed like a really cool thing.

The problem is that everyone who sees the link expects their link to stay on the main page.

Even when I send them an email and tell them that it is just a list of the 10 latest links, they are still very surprised when the link is missing.

Then they write and accuse me of taking their link down.

So to avoid these problems with some webmaster I trade links with I think it is best to disable that feature and not list any links on this page.

I have figured out that very few webmasters read any of the emails I send out, very few even look at them. If they do look at my emails it appears that they just skim the first line or glance at the title of the email.

The other request I received several times is to have their link added to the top of this list, and they usually don't specifically say this but I am sure they mean they want their link to stay there.
