Olympus VN-90 digital voice recorder

A very useful recorder that can really increase your productivity.

I started using a voice recorder when I was driving in my car

I was surprised how many ideas I get when I am driving my car. This time is usually wasted but now it is much more productive.

Like most electronics it has features I don't use. The folders don't really add much but they don't cause any problems either.

The record button is easy to work and it will automatically start recording anytime you press it and place the new recording at the end of your recorded items.

I only use one folder and just record all my items there then erase when I write them down.

I use it most of the time for driving, the little strap hooks nicely on the flasher button on my stering colum and the device hangs on the other side of the colum.

I started out using micro-cassett tapes. these work ok, but I like the memory chips better than the tapes. most of the things I record are todo lists, or ideas I need to remember until I can write them down.

There have been a couple times I wanted to keep something for a longer period of time. A couple of times I have called the IRS and asked them for advice and I decided it would be nice to have some record of the call and what their advice was incase it was questioned later.

You can easily hold the recorder up to a phone and record a conversation, of course you want to tell the other person you are recording the call.

I use it at the doctors office a lot, when I see the doctor they always start talking about things I have never heard of and I just ask them if I can record what they are saying. I have never had any of them mind.

When I am at home I can look up on the internet anything they said that I am not sure about.
