mikogo - remote desktop desktop sharing

Took me forever to find Mikogo.com and I accessed the site before at go.mikogo.com

I tried to use the vista remote desktop, but it's way too complicated, enter the persons IP address
(sure I have that in my pocket let me just pull it out)
then after I try that nothing happens.
didn't waste too much time on this one, I need something I can use with people who are not really computer experts.

Back to mikogo, created an account and logged in, it appears to do nothing. looks like they may want you to pay before you can do anything to use their software? not sure?
so I gave up on mikogo and decided you probably have to pay to get it to do anything.

Then checking the internet turns up http://download.cnet.com/Mikogo/3000-2654_4-10697957.html
looks like they have some free software, so I am downloading that to try it out.

The only reason I am hanging in with this software is I know that it kind of works, because I have used it before.

Ok, you have to sign up and register, then figure out how to download the software. (hopefully it gets easier after this)

downloaded some 5 megs of software from this page

https://mikogo.zendesk.com/entries/21202073-how-do-i-get-started-how-do-i-start-a-session

the file came from here:

http://download.mikogo4.com/mikogo-host.exe

download the file and run it,
then click on the button with the circle and the line.
this will start a session, and ask you a couple of questions.

Get the number and have the other person go to this page:

go.mikogo.com  and enter the number and click yes to allow the program to work, I think it comes up with 3 different boxes

but then it pretty much works and you can see their screen and if your talking on the phone it makes it a whole lot easier.
