Sacramento Cell Phone Providers

I am looking for a new cell phone company, I really want to get a data plan, but I am not really excited about paying $50 or even $40 a month.
I don't use my phone a lot, I need to check to see how much I really do use it.

my current plan breaks it down into 3 groups

anytime minutes 19

mobile to mobile 216

nights and weekends 17

so I have used a total of 252 minutes this month

for the last 3 months it was:

22, 260, 14 = total minutes 296

33, 70, 9 = total minutes 112

28, 73, 31 = total minutes 132

so for the last 4 months the most minutes I have used in a month was 296.

metropcs.com - has a pay a you go plan, but there is a catch, you have to pay each month and the minutes are only good for 30 days.

so it's really a $20 or $30 per month plan with limited usage. The $20 per month gives you 500 minutes of talk, unlimited messages, and 50MB of web access.

Well as they say what the large print giveth, the small print takeith away. Metropcs.com the fine print says that you can not use a smart phone on the $20 or $30 a month plan, I guess the key is that they call it mobile web, I guess that means you can't use a smart phone with internet.
