Using email as a database

I have been using my email as a database to keep track of many different things.

This has turned out much better than I thought it would, and it really works well if you have pictures and text that you want to keep records on and also search through.

I email from one account to another, and this also gives me a back up copy at my other email address, and using Google gmail as one of the accounts gives me access to the information anywhere I have an internet connection.

I use each email as a record, and so far the biggest problem is when I update a record (by sending a new email) I then have to go and delete the old email so I don't have duplicate records.  Sometimes I keep the old email if I think I may need access to the old version for any reason.

So if your looking for a database that is easy to use, has zero learning curve then think about your email accounts.
