Digital Cameras

Digital is now better than film and at a price you can afford.

Digital cameras have come a long way in the last few years with improvements in batteries and memory chips.

With digital cameras you can:
  • View photos right away and erase the duds.
  • Produce high-quality prints from an inkjet printer at home.
  • Order prints online.
  • Order prints from a one-hour lab.
  • get pictures on CD.

The weaknesses with digital cameras are:

  • Need a computer to store and manage photo files from the camera.
  • Image-editing software requires a lot of training.
  • Inkjet prints can fade or be ruined by water.
  • Inkjet prints are expensive.

Bottom line more and more, it’s the camera you’ll use first because of the control it affords.

Walgreens has started developing digital prints for .29 cents a picture. I use their service a lot, it is really nice to be able to run down there and print out a couple pictures to give to someone and it only takes a minute.
