- Traffic – There is no easy way to get this one, it’s a lot of work and it seems most sites keep building up a little from a lot of different sources until it starts to add up to something.
- Keywords – You need these for the search engine so it will place you well and you need them to get Adsense to target your ads
- High Paying Ads – You have to spend some time to find the ads that pay something and then work to get them to show on your site, if you’re getting .02 cents per click it’s really never going to add up to much.
- Ad Placement On Page – Your ads have to be where people can see them. I have a couple sites where I put ads at the top and bottom of a page and they never get clicked on. Also ads on the side bar will not do half as well as ads placed in the center of the text of your page.
- Theme – Your site needs to have some kind of related theme for the:
- search engines
- Adsense ads
- click through rate, if your ads are not targeted you don’t get clicks
All 5 of these things work together and if you some of them but not all then your probably going to fail.
Now to get all of these things to line up on one page of a site is kind of a pain and takes some work, but if you want to make any money this is what you have to do.
